Kaupan markilta löytyi jo tänne muutettuamme maitokärryjen raato. Sen runko oli kauttaaltaan ruosteessa ja pyörät tietenkin rikki. Liki kymmenen vuotta sitten hinkkasin rungosta ruosteet pois ja maalasin sen ruosteenestomaalilla. Päällimmäiseksi laitoin silloista lempiväriäni vihreää. Nyt värivalintani olisi vallan eri. Renkaisiin etsin aikani sopivia kumeja, mutta Motonetissä oli tarjolla vanteet päällikumeineen kahdenkympin kappalehintaan. Appiukkoni teki vielä kärryyn perinteisen laverin ja tadaa – jälleen yksi kymmenen vuoden projekti on valmis!
This old carriage we got together with our house. The frame was covered with rust and both tires were broken. Almost ten years ago I started this project by sanding off the rust and painting the frame. I painted it with my then favourite colour green. Today the colour choice would be something else. For a while I searched for the right tires but ended up buying totally new rims with tires. This week we finally finished this ten year project when my father-in-law made a new skid from wood.
